Applying Discipline, GGF Security Guards Inspect Workers

The Great Giant Foods (GGF) Lampung Security Unit (GGF) applies discipline in creating worker security and order by carrying out sudden inspections (sidak) of workers when they return from office hours. This is done to anticipate violations within the Company.

This was stated by the Head of GGF Security Guard, Mr. Wiyoto, when carrying out checks on all workers when they returned from work to anticipate criminal violations in the form of theft of Company assets.

“All workers are checked without exception. “If workers are found to have committed violations, in this case theft, action will be taken according to the regulations in force at the Company,” stressed Mr. Wiyoto.

The purpose of this inspection is to anticipate and create security and order within the Company. Including traffic violations, workers who drive vehicles must be orderly in traffic according to applicable regulations and the SMK 3 system that also applies in the company. Workers who violate traffic rules will be reprimanded and forwarded to their superiors, he continued.

The inspection was carried out at several points, including on roads prone to theft, because this road directly connects with village access roads that border the company area. This inspection was carried out thoroughly in the plantation operational area.

Apart from that, inspections are also carried out on busy routes when workers return from the office, such as those carried out at the central gate area entering the Company’s territory. One by one, the workers did not escape checking members of the security unit, motorbike trunks and four-wheeled vehicle trunks being the inspection points.

Workers who are found carrying Company goods without being equipped with official documents will continue with an examination of the case report carried out by the worker at the security unit office. If proven to have committed a violation, HRD will be subject to sanctions in accordance with the violations stated in the Collective Labor Agreement (PKB) guidebook and labor law.

“In the Company’s PKB it is clear, if you commit a violation according to the provisions listed then the rules and sanctions are clear,” said Mr Wiyoto.
