Plantation Group 4 (PG4) East Lampung, which is the operational division of Plantation PT Great Giant Pineapple (PT GGP), recently received an award from the East Lampung Regency Government. The award was handed over directly by the Head of the East Lampung MSME and Manpower Cooperative Service, Budi Yull, to the PT GGP representative from the CRD PG4 Department, namely Doli Gultom, on Sunday (22/10).
This award was given by the East Lampung Regional Government to PT GGP as a form of appreciation for the company’s active participation and full support in community engagement activities, which have had a positive impact on the local community. Budi Yull expressed his gratitude to PT Great Giant Pineapple for its significant contribution in supporting and being involved in community activities, so that its existence provides real benefits for local residents.
One of the direct contributions recognized is PT GGP’s support for Lampung Fair activities. A total of 40 superior MSME products were exhibited at the East Lampung pavilion at the annual Lampung Province event. Budi Yull explained that various high-quality products from East Lampung MSMEs, including products supported by PT GGP, such as fruit-based snacks such as bananas, pineapples, jackfruit and honey products, also enlivened the event.
Doli Gultom, PT GGP representative from the CRD PG4 Department, expressed surprise and gratitude for this award. He said that the company’s efforts in community empowerment programs are an integral part of social responsibility, and his hope is that the company and society can continue to develop sustainably and sustainably.
Mico Ranau, as Chief Executive of the Lampung Fair, also expressed his appreciation for the role of the private sector in the success of the 2023 Lampung Fair. According to him, around 70% of the splendor of this annual event was made possible thanks to the active participation of the private sector, including PT GGP. Mico expressed his pride in the products from PT GGP which are well known globally, such as Canned Pineapple.
