Our Story


Great Giant Foods (GGF) is the brand entity of Gunung Sewu Group for a leading vertically integrated food player that cultivates, manufactures, delivers fresh and processed fruits, juice, meat, and dairy. Each of GGF’s business units has been established with the principle of sustainable integrated farming. These allow the organization to have complete oversee across our entire supply chain.


  1. Umas Jaya Farm (UJA)
    Umas Jaya Farm (UJA)
    Established in 1973 as Umas Jaya Farm in Lampung Province, Southern Sumatera. Its main customers are those in the food and beverage industry as well as non-food applications in Asia. The company changed its name to Umas Jaya Agrotama (UJA) on September 12th, 1990 with a current total annual production capacity equal to 54,000 tons of starch.
  2. Great Giant Pineapple (GGP)
    Great Giant Pineapple (GGP)
    Established in 1979, PT Great Giant Pineapple (GGP) is the largest private integrated can pineapple and plantation in the world, delivering the best quality of pineapple. Owning vast plantations, the company currently exports more than 15,000 containers of canned pineapple annually to over 60 countries, with a market share of 25%. In 1992, GGP expanded its wing into the fresh fruit market. Aside from canned pineapple, pineapple jam, pineapple cubes in cups, and pineapple juice concentrate, PT Great Giant Pineapple also produces canned fruit cocktail.
  3. Great Giant Livestock (GGL)
    Great Giant Livestock (GGL)
    Great Giant Livestock (GGL) was established in 1990, gradually becoming one of the great cattle feedlots in Indonesia and later pioneer the first tropical low land dairy farming. GGL takes into account the principles of the integrated sustainable production cycle for the overall plantation. From utilizing processed pineapple peel and tapioca co-products for cattle feed, processing cattle waste to become fertilizers for the plantation and most importantly yield with high-quality tender meat products and fresh milk.
  4. Sewu Segar Nusantara (SSN)
    Sewu Segar Nusantara (SSN)
    Sewu Segar Nusantara (SSN) was established in 1995 as the leading distribution company for local tropical fruit to more than 18,000 retail outlets across the country under the Sunpride® brand for the Indonesia market. PT Sewu Segar Nusantara also partners with international companies such as kiwi distributor from New Zealand and Australian apple distributor.
  5. Bromelain Enzyme (BE)
    Bromelain Enzyme (BE)
    Bromelain Enzyme (BE) was set up as a joint venture to manufacture refined products of bromelain, a collective term for protein-digesting enzymes found in pineapple juice and stems. BE partners with Enzybel International S.A. (part of the Floridienne Group), a Belgian company that produces and markets plant proteolytic enzymes such as papain, bromelain, and ficin. In 2013, BE export approximately 60 tons of bromelain to Europe, the USA, Asia Pacific, and other regions that make up 21 % of the world market.
  6. Sewu Segar Primatama (SSP)
    Sewu Segar Primatama (SSP)
    Rejuve was first launched in May 2014 as a retail concept for ultra-premium Cold-Pressed juice, a processing system that allows products to retain all the natural enzymes, nutrients, and antioxidants found in the fruit. Today Sewu Segar Primatama has expanded the Rejuve brand with a portfolio of 100% fresh and cold-pressed juices, smoothies, coffee, and almond milk in more than 71 locations throughout the Greater Jakarta area, Bandung, Surabaya and Bali.
