Hometown Indonesia Latte Art Scholars Championship (HILASC) 2025 is Brewing Again!

The Hometown Indonesia Latte Art Scholars Championship (HILASC) 2025 returned as part of the 19th Food and Hospitality Indonesia exhibition, held at Hall B3, JIEXPO Kemayoran, from July 22 to 25, 2025. The competition provided a platform for latte artists to showcase their techniques, creativity, and distinctive styles through each latte creation.

A total of 40 finalists were selected from more than 80 participants who competed in the online preliminary round. The finalists advanced to the offline competition, which consisted of three main rounds: the throwdown, the semifinal stage presentation and art bar, and the final stage presentation. Participants competed for a total prize pool of Rp20,000,000 and a golden ticket to the Indonesia Latte Art Championship (ILAC) Region 1.

The event officially opened on July 22, and received an enthusiastic response. A workshop led by Robby Firlian, the 2018 ILAC Champion, marked the beginning of the event, where he shared his experience and insights on preparing for professional competitions.

The program continued with a bar takeover themed “Experience the Best Latte from the Best Barista and Roastery in Town,” offering visitors the opportunity to experience exceptional latte creations firsthand.

The competition continued through the Grand Final on July 25. Throughout the event, visitors could also enjoy a variety of supporting activities, including bar takeovers by ABCD School of Coffee, Kopiloh, and Ryan Wibawa, as well as a cooking demonstration by Chef Beatrix as part of a special collaboration between Hometown and Sunpride.
