Celebrating the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, Great Giant Foods Lampung Employees Hold a Flag Ceremony

In celebrating the 78th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, Employees of Great Giant Foods (GGF) Lampung took part in a flag ceremony, Thursday (17/8).

The ceremony was held at the GGF Central field. The ceremony was carried out by the Security Unit (Satpam). the ceremony went smoothly and solemnly. Participants in the ceremony were all employees and students from schools supported by GGF, including the Bustanul Ulum Terbanggi Besar Islamic School, the Terbanggi Besar Xaverius School Foundation, and the integrated state school at the GGF Employee Housing Complex, Lempuyang Bandar.

Technical Advisor for Plantation and R&D Fauzan was the supervisor at this year’s ceremony wearing traditional Javanese clothing.

In the speech delivered by the supervisor of the ceremony, it was emphasized that the celebration of the 78th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia coincided with the implementation of the 2024 democratic election party. Fauzan invited everyone to maintain a conducive atmosphere both within the company and in the environment where we live. Sincerely, he invited the spirit of independence that we celebrate to also be reflected in the way we interact and maintain harmony amidst normal differences of opinion. Together we create an atmosphere that supports positive development, both for organizations and society in general.

“Continue to maintain the neutrality of each company work unit and maintain more harmonious interaction and communication. “Make the election a joyous democratic celebration, don’t spread invalid hoax news that causes chaos,” he continued.

Not only that, in the message he delivered as the ceremony supervisor, Fauzan emphasized that the company was facing serious challenges due to the global climate phenomenon El Nino. This phenomenon could potentially reduce production due to dry weather and high temperatures.

“Apart from preparing irrigation needs for plants optimally and being a motivation to preserve the environment, we use it as the only natural resource that the company has,” he said.

Continuing his speech, Fauzan emphasized that as a company that has implemented a circular economy, where the waste produced has been converted into products with economic value, and most of it is returned to nature, it will certainly be more efficient and have a meaningful impact.
