PT Umas Jaya Agrotama (PT UJA) together with the Tanjung Karang Industrial Technology High School (SMK SMTI), Bandar Lampung, agreed to sign a renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding Cooperation in the Development of Industrial Vocational Education in Bandar Lampung. The scope of this MoU includes efforts to build competency-based vocational and vocational education that links and matches with industry, restructuring skills programs and curricula in educational units in accordance with industry needs, as well as building competency infrastructure in the industrial sector.
The signing of the MoU on Industrial Vocational Education Development Cooperation was carried out by the Principal of SMTI Bandar Lampung Vocational School, Farid Hardiana, and PT UJA represented by Corporate Affairs Lampung SubDiv Head Hendri Tanujaya. This event took place in the Novotel Hotel Ballroom, Bandar Lampung, at the same time as the 2023 Alumni Graduation agenda on Wednesday (1/11).
In his speech, Farid Hardiana expressed his gratitude and high appreciation for the presence of PT UJA at the graduation ceremony for retired SMK SMTI students and the signing of the MoU. He hopes that this collaboration can continue for the progress of SMTI Vocational School and the nation’s next generation. Furthermore, Farid Hardiana explained that the aim of the MoU was to utilize available resources in order to develop competency-based vocational and vocational education that links and matches with industry. This effort aims to produce prospective workers for the manufacturing industry who have knowledge, skills and work attitudes in accordance with industry needs. This cooperation agreement is in accordance with the direction of the Minister of Industry Airlangga Hartarto, as a concrete step in building links and matches for SMK with industry, which aims to encourage industry involvement in coaching and developing SMK.
