GGF Executives Teach Sustainability at SMA Negeri 5 Bandung

Bandung, 16 December 2022Great Giant Foods (GGF) executives took part in a teaching session at SMA Negeri 5 Bandung as part of the Circolearn program, a practitioner teaching initiative where senior executives share knowledge directly with students. The session focused on Sustainability and Circular Economy, reflecting GGF’s long-standing commitment to integrated and sustainable farming practices.

GGF’s business units are built on a sustainable integrated farming model, applying three key principles of the circular economy: minimizing waste, maintaining the use of products and materials, and regenerating natural systems. Through this model, production waste and by-products are reused and processed into value-added products, ensuring efficiency and positive environmental impact.

In this inaugural Circolearn session, GGF senior executives delivered the material in an engaging way suited for first-year high school students. The session included interactive games and quizzes designed to raise awareness of sustainable choices in everyday life.

The event concluded with the presence of Sunpride and Duta booths, where students enjoyed Cavendish Bananas and Crystal Guavas, paired with Duta Pineapple & Passion Fruit Juice. Each participant also received a notebook made from recycled paper, reinforcing the sustainability message shared throughout the day.
