The Covid-19 pandemic brought new habits to the Great Giants Foods (GGF) environment. This can be seen by the flourishing of football in the GGF environment which was marked by the inauguration of the GGF Football Club. The inauguration was held at the BTN Kopkar Dwi Karya soccer field with the theme “Building Coaching Towards Professionals and Achieve Achievements” on Tuesday, September 28, 2021.

The inauguration of GGF Football Club was carried out by cutting the ribbon, cutting the cone, and kicking the first ball by Deputy Management Supriono Loekito and witnessed by GGF Football Club Trustees Heri Subondo, Manager Wiryo Saputra, Kadus VII Irsan, administrators, and players.

Supriono Loekito in his speech admitted that he is a football lover and proud of the local players and the GGF FC team, both senior and junior. “In the past we had a legendary club, the core Persilat team in Division 3 which was quite respected, Lampung Sakti in League 2, and acquired Badak Lampung. Management’s commitment is extraordinary, so that in the future it can be more solid to achieve future achievements, “said Deputy Management Supriono Loekito.

GGF Football Club team manager Wiryo Saputra hopes that with this momentum it is not impossible that GGF FC can achieve more. This is on condition that it must be occupied, earnest, and have high motivation. Sufficient support from GGF will have an impact on the resilience of GGF FC from generation to generation.

Wiryo also said that GGF FC is part of the football sports forum for the workers and their families at GGF and the surrounding community in general. The existence of high interest and enthusiasm in soccer is expected to be able to orbit athletes at the national level.

Furthermore, it is said that early childhood development is the short-term and long-term focus of GGF FC. This will be realized by immediately registering it with PSSI so that it becomes the official forum for soccer early childhood development.
