Great Giant Foods (GGF) is one of the private companies that received an award from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenkes RI) as a party that participated in providing emergency support in handling the Covid-19 pandemic. The award was given directly by the Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Dante Saksono at the Adhyatma Building of the Indonesian Ministry of Health, South Jakarta, on Wednesday, December 29, 2021.
There are 37 award recipients who have supported the handling of the Covid-19 pandemic emergency at the Pondok Gede Hajj Dormitory Hospital as well as medical device grants for several regions in Indonesia through the Health Determinant Analysis Center in collaboration with the Directorate of Health Service Facilities and the Health Crisis Center of the Ministry of Health.
In his remarks, the Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Dante Saksono said that the culture of gotong royong is a social culture that must be maintained with one another. “This is a synergy between the government and the private sector on the basis of brotherhood. The award is given as a form of appreciation from the Indonesian Ministry of Health to all donors involved in handling the Covid-19 pandemic emergency in Indonesia,” said Dante Saksono.
On the other hand, the Inspectorate General of the Indonesian Ministry of Health, Murti Utami, explained that the results of the donations from donors reached Rp. 5.9 billion which had been calculated in the form of goods and donations. “All of our assistance was distributed especially to the Emergency Hospital at Pondok Gede Hajj Dormitory, East Jakarta, which at that time had to quickly deal with the increasing number of patients. In addition, we will distribute the rest to the Health Office and regional hospitals as needed,” said Murti Utami.
On this occasion the Head of Corporate Communication of GGF Indra Ardiyant was present to directly receive the RI Ministry of Health award plaque. He explained that GGF has a big commitment with the government in handling and preventing Covid-19.
“GGF has donated several aids related to the Covid-19 pandemic. Some of them are PPE assistance, isolation houses, PCR machines at the Central Lampung Hospital, fruit and milk donations, basic necessities, and assistance for spraying disinfectants,” concluded Indra.
