GGF Gives 36 Sacrificial Cows to Communities Around the Company

It has become a tradition for Great Giant Foods (GGF) Terbanggi Besar, Central Lampung, every Eid al-Adha celebration to provide sacrificial animals to the community around the company. In 2022, GGF again handed over donations of sacrificial animals to communities around the company’s area ahead of Eid al-Adha 1443 Hijriyah.

GGF handed over assistance as many as 36 cows to the community in Ring 1 buffer villages located in 6 districts, Central Lampung, Way Kanan, North Lampung, West Tulang Bawang, East Lampung, and Bandar Lampung City. Especially for the City of Bandar Lampung, it is given to people who are near the operation of the Way Lunik traffic office.

The cattle donation came from PT Great Giant Livestock (GGL) which is also a subsidiary of GGF. In the midst of the spread of foot and mouth disease (FMD) every cow taken from the cow partner cage of GGL partners has been checked to be free of the disease so that it is safe for consumption.

Furthermore, the donation of sacrificial animals was symbolically handed over to each of the sacrificial committees on Friday 8 July 2022.

Gregorius Aris Kristiawan Nugroho as External Relations of GGF to recipients of sacrificial animals said that Great Giant Foods wanted to show its concern in the form of animal sacrifice to people in need.

“It is hoped that this assistance can ease the burden on the community in the midst of the Covid-19 condition as a form of social and environmental programs as well as an event for company friendship to the community, village and sub-district governments around the company,” said Aris.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Regent of Central Lampung, Ardito Wijaya, expressed his gratitude for GGF’s CSR activities and he hoped that the relationship and cooperation between GGF and the community and government could be further enhanced.
