Lampung, 21 May 2023 – Great Giant Foods (GGF) Lampung contributed to the Pringsewu Heritage 5K & 10K Fun Run by providing fresh fruit assistance in the form of bananas and crystal guavas. The fruit distribution was facilitated by GGF Corporate Relations Development in collaboration with the Lampung Provincial Youth and Sports Office.

The event took place in Tapis Village, Pekon Lugusari, Pagelaran District, Pringsewu Regency, and was officially opened by Governor of Lampung, Arinal Djunaidi. Hundreds of enthusiastic participants joined the run, which carried the theme of historical tourism, showcasing routes through the Tapis weaving center, Way Sekampung bridge, and other cultural heritage sites.

Governor Arinal emphasized that the Pringsewu Heritage Fun Run is part of the effort to develop sports tourism in Lampung Province.

“This event combines sports with historical tourism, creating a unique experience for participants. We hope this initiative can be held annually in Pringsewu and replicated across other districts in Lampung,” said the Governor.

He also underlined that regular activities like this can help discover and nurture local athletic talent.

“There is no need to wait for major events or competitions to find talented athletes. By holding routine activities such as this, we can continuously support the growth of sports in Lampung,” he added.

GGF’s participation reflects its commitment to supporting healthy lifestyles and community development through active involvement in local events.
