GGF Volunteers Distribute Funds to Care for the West Sulawesi Earthquake and South Kalimantan Floods

Great Giant Foods (GGF) Volunteers distribute aid to victims of the West Sulawesi (Sulbar) Earthquake and South Kalimantan (Kalsel) Floods. The head of the GGF Volunteer Nanda Dita Syahpradana handed over the assistance to the Head of the Lampung Rapid Response Action (ACT) Branch, Dian Eka Darma Wahyuni. The ceremonial handing over of GGF Volunteer assistance in the amount of Rp31 million from the donations from GGF workers was held at the Kopkar Dwi Karya Multipurpose Building (GSG), Lempuyang Bandar on Tuesday 9 March 2021.

“GGF Volunteer is a place to channel social interest. Where the fundraising for disaster victims in West Sulawesi and South Kalimantan was carried out for 2 weeks, Alhamdulillah, today we have submitted it through ACT Lampung Branch,” said Nanda.

In his action, Nanda invited all employees to care and share with victims affected by natural disasters both inside and outside Lampung Province. Fundraising activities for victims of natural disasters are not the first time but have become routine. The formation of GGF Volunteer is the result of the initiation of several GGF employees since 2018. Where GGF Volunteer is a community that makes social movements under the company.

Dian Eka Darma Wahyuni ​​said that in the midst of the potential for natural disasters that continue to increase in Indonesia, the awareness movement is very important to solve problems during emergency, recovery, and economic recovery. Currently, ACT volunteers are still staying in West Sulawesi and South Kalimantan to help affected residents with various programs. During the recovery period, ACT did not stop building infrastructure that was damaged by the disaster. Priority buildings are houses, places of worship, and public facilities.

Thank you to friends at GGF who have been willing to collaborate with ACT Lampung to help our brothers and sisters who are being hit by natural disasters. In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, there are still many hearts that are knocked to help their brothers, Dian concluded.
