GGF Wins 2 Awards in Indonesia’s Best Corporate Sustainability Initiatives

The Indonesia’s Best Corporate Sustainability Initiatives program was again held by MIX MarComm Magazine (SWA Group). The annual program, which is entering its 7th year, is a recognition for the business world in Indonesia for corporate sustainability programs or better known as CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) programs. Great Giant Foods (GGF) on this occasion managed to win 2 awards for the Circular Economy and Creating Shared Value (CSV) categories. The award was handed over on Wednesday 18 January 2023 by SWA Group Chief Editor Kemal Effendi Gani and received directly by Managing Director of Financial Accounting and Corporate Strategy Jane Fransisca at the LSPR Jakarta Auditorium.

On this occasion, Managing Director of Financial Accounting and Corporate Strategy Jane Fransisca said “I would like to thank Mix Marcomm Magazine and SWA Group for the award given to GGF. GGF through the Created Shared Value program has been collaborating with local fruit farmers since 2016, until now, GGF has worked with around 1,400 fruit farmers and in the future GGF targets to work with 3,000 fruit farmers.

Meanwhile, Editor-in-Chief of MIX MarComm Magazine Lis Hendriani said that unlike the implementation of recognition for CSR in general, Indonesia’s Best Corporate Sustainability Initiatives organized by MIX MarComm Magazine-SWA Media Group used Philip Kotler and Nancy Lee’s concept of MARKETING & CORPORATE SOCIAL INITIATIVES. “This is to encourage the business world to spread their sustainability initiatives more broadly, to be more creative, innovative and relevant to their business,” said Lis Hendriani.

Apart from running the Created Share Value (CSV) program, GGF has also implemented the Circular Economy Concept with a measurable and integrated system in carrying out its production process. The concept of a sustainable Circular Economy is implemented from upstream to downstream. All waste or uncommercial products produced are reprocessed as business opportunities whose benefits are also felt by farmers and ranchers as partners, local communities and consumers.
