GOALL 3, a GGF employee town hall event, is an annual event in the series of halal bihalal events. Apart from being attended by employees, the GGF town hall in Jakarta was also attended by Husodo Angkosubroto as President Commissioner of GGF, Setiawan Achmad and Edhi Tamboto as Commissioners of GGF, Tommy Wattimena as President Director of GGF and accompanied by the board of directors (BOD). This event will take place on Tuesday, May 14 2024, in the Collaboration Room, Sequis Tower.
The company’s achievements, prospects for the first quarter, company values and strategies as well as economic developments in Indonesia were things that were discussed in the town hall session. “Seeing that GDP growth in Indonesia has increased by 5%, this could happen because of the condition of a country where the people cannot afford it, they will get rich by doing exporting. “On the other hand, if the people are starting to be able to do it, then they want to do more local business,” said Husodo. Talking about cost leadership, Husodo also said, “We must maintain cost leadership & competitive advantage which is supported by our innovation and differentiation. Don’t forget that as GGF talent, we all have a role in helping the company achieve its goals.”
Apart from that, business updates are also one of the things conveyed in the town hall session. Tommy Wattimena, President Director of GGF, discussed the company’s achievements and also discussed one by one what the company will do to achieve the company’s vision and mission in the next 5-10 years. Tommy said he would penetrate deeper into fresh fruit by selling cold fruit using carts with the theme “we can go lower” like the coffee currently sold at affordable prices. For the GGF brand, namely Sunpride, Tommy said there would be more categories, considering that fruit-based is very possible to explore. “Talking about LOB, LOB has very high potential. “A lot of agricultural land has been damaged due to the use of chemical fertilizers, and the whole world has certainly taken the initiative to reduce this use, fortunately we already have our own biofertilizer,” he added.
Sustainability was also something that Tommy discussed. Apart from winning many awards, Tommy reminded us of the four sustainability strategies that GGF has, namely: reducing the impact of CO2 use, regenerative agriculture, circularity, and precision & digital assistance farming.
