Gunadarma university communications science online visit in GGF

Around 210 students majoring in Communication Studies semester 2 and 4, Gunadarma University (UG) Jakarta attended the online company visit at Great Giant Foods (GGF) Lampung on July 13, 2021. The activity was carried out during the Covid-19 pandemic. introducing public relations activities carried out by corporations to students who were present virtually that morning. The event was opened by moderator Dilla Savira, followed by remarks from GGF representatives, namely Head of Communication Indra Ardiyanto and UG representatives, namely Deputy Dean 1 of the Faculty of Communication Sciences, Gunadarma University, Dr. Kiayati Yusriah.

Deputy Dean 1 of the UG Faculty of Communication, Dr Kiayati Yusriah said “Alhamdulillah, I am very happy to be able to attend a virtual visit to GGF. An activity that is very useful for students to add insight about PR activities in bona fide companies. It is also very useful for the UG Communication Studies program in introducing students to the industrial world. We hope that the collaboration will continue in internships, research, webinars, etc. towards Merdeka Learning, Merdeka Campus”.

Meanwhile, a teaching representative from UG Dr. Dinda Rakhma F said “I am proud to see a company that is native to Indonesia, going international and being the host in their own country. Thank you GGF for sharing your valuable knowledge and experience with Gunadarma University academics. Very inspiring, with the implementation of PR Practice that has been carried out so far, very professional with global targets but still grounded. Hopefully we can collaborate and together build the country.”

On that occasion, the event was also filled with presentations by the Corporate Communications Team of GGF Wian Rahmat who explained about the GGF Company and all activities of the Corporate Communication Department. The students who were present at that time were very enthusiastic to explore the knowledge and information they wanted to get in this activity.
