Megou University Pak Signs MoU with PT GGP

Megou Pak University (UMP) Tulangbawang collaborated with PT Great Giant Pineapple (PT GGP) Terbanggi Besar, Central Lampung. The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was carried out on Tuesday 16 November 2021 at the PT GGP Training Center.

MoU number: 005/GGP-GR/XI/2021 was signed by both parties, namely the UMP Chancellor Dr. Triono, S. Sos, MIP and Drh. Welly Soegiono as the proxy of the directors of PT GGP represented by Ir. Ahmad Fauzan. The MoU contains education, research, community service and improving the quality of human resources as well as the implementation of independent learning on an independent campus.

Triono together with 11 ranks of UMP Deans and Lecturers hoped that in the future the two parties could synergize with each other. Lecturers and students need to be aware of it together to enter the world of work to create innovation for the community. “We’ll see later what can be collaborated between PT GGP and Megou Pak, for example the development of partnerships that have been running so far, such as cattle, banana partnerships and others,” explained Triono.

Meanwhile, Ir. Fauzan welcomed the signing of a joint MoU between PT GGP and UMP to build cooperation with a very beneficial goal in agriculture and the economy as a development of scientific disciplines for students.

It is hoped that the MoU is not just a mere formality but can be implemented properly, followed up and synergized with existing programs. At the end of the event, the group of rectors, deans and lecturers of UMP visited PT Great Giant Livestock (GGL) cattle fattening center, Banana packing house and saw pineapple harvesting activities in Plantation Group I.
