Re.juve continues to strengthen its commitment to reducing waste and preserving the environment through innovative solutions that involve the community in recycling activities, as well as promoting sustainable lifestyles to create a healthier generation. This commitment was recognized through awards received on October 7 2024, which were given to producers who were committed to implementing Minister of Environment and Forestry Regulation No. P.75 of 2019 concerning Waste Reduction Roadmap. PT Sewu Segar Primatama, owner of the Re.juve trademark, was recognized as one of 20 manufacturers that complied with these regulations.
The Director General of Waste, Waste and Hazardous and Toxic Materials Management (PSLB3) of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Rosa Vivien Ratnawati, said, “This award is an important step to encourage the implementation of these regulations by the manufacturing, food and beverage services and retail sectors. “In this regulation, manufacturers are required to contribute to reducing waste originating from their products or packaging, with a waste reduction target of 30%.”
Re.juve, as a company in the beverage industry, received an award because it was considered successful in exceeding this target. With its flagship program, Bring Back Your Empty Bottle (BBYEB), Re.juve invites people to return empty bottles for recycling. This program, which was launched in 2019, will continue to develop by utilizing digital technology through the Re.juve App in 2024. This application allows customers to return empty bottles and get reward points of 100 points which is equivalent to Rp. 100,-. These points can be used to exchange Re.juve products at all outlets.
Surya Adiputra, Operations Director of Re.juve, stated, “The Re.juve App application has succeeded in attracting the interest of the wider community. In collaboration with the Banksasuci Waste Bank, Re.juve ensures that all bottles received can be sorted and recycled efficiently. This initiative not only supports reducing plastic waste, but also encourages the public to participate more actively in waste management. Through this synergy, Re.juve and Banksasuci hope to create a significant positive impact on the environment and increase awareness of the importance of sustainability.
