Pelindo Listens to Feedback from PT GGP

PT Great Giant Pineapple (GGP) received a visit from the General Manager of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia II (Pelindo) Panjang Adi Sugiri on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 in Terbanggi Besar, Central Lampung. The visit was aimed at hearing directly input from customers on the port activity services provided by Pelindo.

Adi Sugiri, who was accompanied by Pelindo’s Deputy General Manager of Commercial Ivan Zulhifan and his staff, was received by the Division Head of Quality Assurance Ketut Isatriyanto, Factory Division Head Halim Sunarto Jaya, Senior Manager Corporate Affairs Hendri Tanujaya at the Training Center Building.

Adi Sugiri said that PT GGP has increased export production. This makes Pelindo as a supply chain must improve so that export activities are not hampered. Through good communication between PT GGP and Pelindo, there will be many inputs in an effort to increase performance capacity.

“We would like to thank PT GGP for welcoming and introducing the group to see the production process and the location of the pineapple plantation directly. We are satisfied and very appreciative, because so far PT GGP has been Pelindo’s premium customer,” said Adi.

According to Ketut Isatriyanto, PT GGP will continue to grow. Production of canned pineapple in 2021 is almost 700 thousand tons, and in the future it will continue to increase. In addition, PT GGP also has fresh pineapples and bananas which are also exported to several countries.

“In 2020 there will be 13,827 containers, this year there will probably be 14 thousand containers. That’s something great from one company, and it’s just canned pineapple and concentrate not to mention fresh pineapple and bananas. As an illustration, in September 2021, we can ship 1,823 containers in a month,” said Ketut.

PT GGP really appreciates Pelindo’s colleagues and cooperation, even though in the midst of difficult conditions now things can go well. Ketut hopes that all parties can help in terms of mileage which is an extraordinary challenge, because PT GGP’s products are very fresh.

At the end of the meeting, Adi Sugiri said that Pelindo would continue to increase its capacity. This is because in the future, if the program from the province related to port toll gate connectivity is opened, it will have a tremendous impact.
