PT Great Giant Pineapple Receives Award from PMI Lampung for Blood Donation Contribution

Lampung, September 17, 2024 – PT Great Giant Pineapple (GGP) has once again reinforced its commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) through active participation in blood donation initiatives organized by the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) of Lampung Province.

For its contribution in donating more than 300 bags of blood during the 2023–2024 period, PT GGP received a special award from the PMI Bandar Lampung Blood Donor Unit (UDD). The recognition was presented during the 79th Anniversary Celebration of PMI and the Lampung Province Blood Donation Draw, held at the Emersia Hotel Ballroom on Tuesday (17/9).

PT GGP was one of the private companies honored for its significant role in supporting the availability of safe blood for people in need. This initiative reflects the company’s ongoing efforts to uphold values of social care and solidarity, which are the cornerstone of GGP’s CSR programs.

In his remarks, Fahrizal Darminto, Regional Secretary of Lampung Province, representing the Acting Governor of Lampung, expressed deep appreciation to all donors and organizations involved.
“We extend our gratitude to everyone who has voluntarily donated their blood. This simple act has had a tremendous impact on society, saving countless lives. A drop of donated blood is a priceless expression of care, especially when it can save someone’s life,” he said.

From January to September 2024, PT GGP, in collaboration with PMI Bandar Lampung and PMI Lampung Tengah, successfully collected 472 bags of blood through donation drives at the Central Health Clinic and the Estate Plantation Group 3 (EPG3) Health Post. Additionally, joint activities with PMI Metro City at the Estate Plantation Group 4 (EPG4) Health Post resulted in 129 more bags of blood collected. In total, PT GGP donated nearly 1,000 bags of blood within one year across its operational units.

“This achievement is a concrete form of our commitment to supporting the availability of blood for the community. It also reflects our broader mission to create a positive and sustainable impact on the surrounding environment,” said Drg. Fitriah, Head of PT GGP Primary Inpatient Clinic.

The recognition from PMI Lampung highlights PT GGP’s consistency in delivering sustainable social contributions. Going forward, the company remains committed to being part of the solution to social and humanitarian challenges, while actively involving employees in impactful programs such as blood donation.
