Re.juve Recognized for Commitment to Waste Reduction and Sustainability

Jakarta, October 7, 2024 – Re.juve continues to strengthen its commitment to reducing waste and protecting the environment through innovative recycling programs and community engagement. This dedication was acknowledged when PT Sewu Segar Primatama, owner of the Re.juve trademark, was recognized as one of 20 manufacturers complying with the Minister of Environment and Forestry Regulation No. P.75/2019 on the Waste Reduction Roadmap.

The award was presented by the Director General of Waste, Waste, and Hazardous and Toxic Materials Management (PSLB3), Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Rosa Vivien Ratnawati.

“This award is an important step to encourage the implementation of these regulations by manufacturers, food and beverage services, and the retail sector. In this regulation, producers are required to contribute to reducing waste from their products or packaging, with a target reduction of 30%,” said Rosa.

Re.juve’s Flagship Program: Bring Back Your Empty Bottle (BBYEB)

Re.juve exceeded the 30% waste reduction target through its flagship program, Bring Back Your Empty Bottle (BBYEB). Launched in 2019, the program invites customers to return empty bottles for recycling.

In 2024, the initiative expanded with the introduction of the Re.juve App, which integrates digital technology to make recycling more accessible. Customers who return empty bottles through the app receive 100 reward points (equivalent to Rp100,-), which can be redeemed for Re.juve products at all outlets.

Collaboration with Banksasuci Waste Bank

According to Surya Adiputra, Operations Director of Re.juve, the digital platform has significantly increased public participation.

“The Re.juve App has succeeded in attracting greater community involvement. In collaboration with the Banksasuci Waste Bank, we ensure that all collected bottles are properly sorted and recycled. This initiative not only reduces plastic waste but also encourages people to be more active in waste management,” said Surya.

Through this synergy, Re.juve and Banksasuci aim to create a tangible positive impact on the environment, while also raising awareness about the importance of sustainability and responsible consumption.
