Sunpride Establishes Partnership with Pepito Supermarket

Sunpride, as the leader of a well-known local fresh fruit brand in Indonesia, has entered into a partnership with Pepito, a well-known local retailer in Denpasar, Bali (4/8). Both Sunpride and Pepito both have a vision of increasing local fruit consumption. This is done by educating local residents and tourists on the island of Bali using fruit literacy regarding the health benefits resulting from consuming fresh fruit.

This agenda is also in line with the initiative of the President of the Republic of Indonesia to encourage increased consumption of local fruit in the Indonesian market. Yulius Irwanto Deputy of Managing Director of PT Sentral Retailindo Dewata (Pepito) stated, “In accordance with President Joko Widodo’s direction, we are committed to increasing consumption of local fruit which has nutritional value equivalent to imported fruit. This approach is also supported by Pepito, which provides a wide selection of Indonesian fruits that are unique in their own right.

“Sunpride is innovating in expanding the fruit shopping experience with a unique approach not only through Sunpride-in-Range (a special display featuring various Sunpride products) as part of our circular economy model, such as Pineapple Fruit in Cans, 100% Ready-to-Drink Pineapple Fruit Juice , and Cavendish Banana Chips ‘Made from Real Fruit’, but also by introducing various related consumption options in various categories, such as snacks, breakfast and baby complementary foods (MP-ASI), throughout the shopping area.
