Jakarta, June 22, 2022 – The Panen Raya Nusantara 2022, organized by the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, marked the kick-off of Indonesia’s G20 Presidency, which will culminate in November 2022. Carrying the theme “Indonesian Food for a Better World”, the event took place at Lapangan Banteng Park, Jakarta.
One of the highlights was the harvest parade procession, where participants from the food and agribusiness sectors showcased gunungan panen (harvest mountains) filled with agricultural products.
Representing Indonesia’s leading fresh fruit exports, Sunpride participated by presenting harvest mountains decorated with its favorite products—including Cavendish Bananas, Honi Pineapples, and California Papayas—which surrounded the venue to welcome distinguished guests.
Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, underscored the importance of food security in his remarks:
“We must focus on the availability of domestic food. The key lies in three aspects: securing the supply side, diversifying food, and increasing efficiency.”
Deputy for Food and Agribusiness Coordination, Musdhalifah Machmud, added that the event serves as momentum to strengthen collaboration across sectors:
“Support for food and agribusiness will involve farmers, SOEs, MSMEs, exporters, market players, as well as government institutions at both national and regional levels. We hope this event can spark technological innovations, cooperation, investments, and expanded export markets for Indonesian agribusiness.”
Through its participation, Sunpride reaffirms its commitment to supporting Indonesia’s food security agenda and to showcasing the quality of locally grown fruits on the global stage.
