Sunpride Wins IOB 2020 “Best Branded Fruit” Award for the Third Time

Jakarta, July 13, 2020 – Sunpride once again reaffirmed its position as Indonesia’s leading fruit brand by receiving the Indonesia Original Brand (IOB) 2020 Award in the category Best Branded Fruit. This marks the third achievement for Sunpride after previously winning the same award in 2016 and 2017.

This year’s award ceremony felt different as it was held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the online format did not lessen the value of the recognition, which continues to highlight Sunpride’s commitment to providing high-quality and safe-to-consume fruit for the Indonesian people.

The IOB Award, organized by SWA Magazine, is based on a quantitative survey conducted annually through interviews with users of original Indonesian brands. Using the Multistage Random Sampling technique, the survey spans around 108 categories, across six major cities (Medan, Bandung, Jabodetabek, Semarang, Surabaya, and Makassar), involving 5,000 respondents from February to March each year.

The assessment is based on four key parameters:

  1. Satisfaction

  2. Loyalty

  3. Advocacy

  4. Comparison of Local vs. Foreign Brands

Winning this award in the midst of the pandemic is a true honor for Sunpride and aligns with its long-standing commitment to maintaining the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and quality—from the plantation to the consumers’ hands.
