The Excitement of the 78th Indonesian Independence Day Celebration in the PG2 Estate Environment

To celebrate the 78th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, various activities and competitions were held in the Estate Plantation Group 2 (PG2) environment on Thursday (10/8). The event was opened by PG2 Estate Senior Manager Joko Susilo at the first mini football match at the Merdeka PG2 field.

This activity was quite lively because all the workers participated. The competition participants seemed enthusiastic about supporting their colleagues who were competing at that time. Various kinds of competitions typical of Indonesia’s Independence Day were held in a marathon, including: badminton, table tennis, football, eggplant relay, sack race, mass gymnastics and the 5R Environmental competition.

“The 78th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia is a special moment for all of us. “Because of that, all PG2 workers happily welcomed the anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia with several competitions,” said Joko.

Apart from that, according to him, these competitions are interpreted as strengthening solidarity and togetherness between workers and companies, as reflected in similar celebrations held by society in general.

“Through this activity, PG2 wants to further strengthen the relationship between employees through every competition we hold,” said Joko Susilo. This activity is a form of the company’s concern in awakening a feeling of love for the country and fostering a sense of the spirit of independence and togetherness.

“By holding this activity, it is hoped that it can foster a sense of nationalism. “Therefore, we invite employees to appreciate, respect and pray for the heroes who contributed to winning independence,” he added.
