GAMATALA (Unila Soil Students Association) Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung held a P3D (Village Empowerment Development Program) activity entitled “Safe and Healthy Farm” Semi Urban Agricultural System Development and Empowerment in Pinang Jaya Kemiling Village on Thursday, August 26, 2021. The event was opened and attended by the Lurah of Pinang Jaya Mr. Ujang Sarbini and his wife, Lecturer of Soil Science at the University of Lampung Mrs. Winih Sekaringtyas Ramadhani SP, MP and representatives of the ITN-LOB TEAM Mr. Eko Famuji Ariyanto as Head of LOB Production and the ITN Community Development and Digital Marketing TEAM.

In this activity, the ITN-LOB TEAM was present and had the opportunity to provide material and information about organic agriculture, especially about organic fertilizers and compost. In addition, the ITNLOB TEAM also introduced LOB liquid biological fertilizer and Great Giant Biocompost fertilizer, starting from the production process, content, advantages, benefits, and how to use it. Because this quality organic fertilizer has been certified organic and has an official distribution permit, it is very well maintained and its quality is guaranteed.

The ITN-LOB TEAM on this occasion provided assistance with LOB liquid biological fertilizer and compost to the residents of Pinang Jaya Village in the hope that it could be used properly, considering that the residents of Pinang Jaya Village have been very active in carrying out organic farming activities in their environment. One of them is doing urban farming and hydroponic activities together in a greenhouse located behind the Pinang Jaya Village Hall.

Through the P3D (Village Empowerment Development Program) activities, it is hoped that villagers will gain knowledge and be able to implement a sustainable organic farming system that starts in the nearest environment such as in their respective yards so that they can improve the quality of life, create a better life, and can live healthy.
