The Central Lampung Regency Government has obtained an operational permit from the Lampung Health Office for the use of automatic realtime PCR machines. This was revealed by the Head of the Lamteng Health Office, dr. Othniel Sriwidiatmoko.
“The permit to use the PCR machine has been issued. So it has started to be used,” he said. However, said Otniel, this initial stage is still being tested first. “But it’s still testing first. After everything is ready, we will tell you later,” he said.
As previously reported, the Central Lampung Regency Government has received Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) assistance from PT Great Giant Pineapple (GGP) in the form of a unit of automatic realtime PCR machine. The PCR was handed over to the Senior Manager Legal and Corporate Affairs of PT GGP Hendri Tanujaya and Senior Manager of Sustainability PT GGP Arif Fatullah to the Deputy Regent of Central Lampung Ardito Wijaya at the Demang Se Island Raya Hospital.
This PCR tool is eagerly awaited by the public to check the Covid-19 swab sample which was previously sent to the Lab. Lampung province. Arif Fatullah representing PT GGP hopes that this CSR assistance can help the Central Lampung Regency Government-run smoothly in the health sector. “With this tool, it can increase time efficiency in examining Covid-19 samples. Previously it took a long time to be fast and precise,” he said.
Ardito Wijaya thanked PT GGP for trusting him to provide a set of PCR equipment to be used at the Demang Se Island Raya Hospital. This tool will certainly be useful for the wider community.
“With this tool, I hope that the leaders of private hospitals in Central Lampung do not need to send the results of the PCR examination to the Lampung Provincial Lab. Enough at the Demang Se Island Raya Hospital. Besides being close, the inspection time only takes 1-2 days,” he said.
